so i am breast feeding my 5 month old and they say in a 24 hour period the body burns about 500 calories just producing breastmilk, (thats 20 calories per oz of milk so differs between each baby) is it fair to count it as burned calories????

I would count it to make sure you are getting enough calories to feed that precious baby. :happy:0

I add it everytime I pump. In the database under breastfeeding >generic> by ounce >1 oz x the number I pump off and it subtracts it off calorie totals as soon as I add it....
I am usually right around 500 cals a day!! I must be doing something right as I am still dropping weight0
