stair step questions

i want to try the stair machine at the gym, i am curious though, what do u all use for calories burnt on here?? there is not a step machine or stair stepper on here?????

    At many gyms the machine will so you how many calories you've burned. The consensus seems to be that that is more accurate than the MFP database
