and it's fantastic!
Well let me introduce myself, I'm a 26 year old british/italian girl.
I'd never had a weight problem before hitting puberty, I was always the skinniest of the class...aah, good times..., anyhow at age 13 I went from 48 kg to 70kg in 6 months, not my fault I swear.
Was very depressed about new unknown body, so at age 15 I chose to stop eating altogether, that took me down to 53kg in 4 months. It was stupid and unhealthy, but I still remember the ecstasy and omnipotence every time I stepped on the scales or had to slide my leather belt a hole tighter.
Didn't last long anyway, as I gained 10 kg back in 5 weeks while on holiday. So I've been around the 63/65 kg mark for the past ten years, not ever happy with my body. always played some kind of sports though (martial arts mostly).
A couple of years ago I kind of lost the plot, and gained another 5/7 kg, october 2009 I got 73!! Down to 71 in November, and been losing slowly but steadily since after Christmas with a mediterranean 1200 cal diet.
When i discovered MFP two weeks ago I was shocked at how easy it can all be... the reason why things weren't going great is that, quite simply, I underestimated my calorie intake, and kind of ignored the little snack and unnecessary nibbling!!
I love the app on my iPhone!
Right so I've even got me ticker thingy sorted, I guess there's no excuse now I've found you lot
