A few months ago someone posted a great recipe for "brocamole." It was a replacement for guacamole that used 1 avocado and 1 head of broccoli steamed and other ingredients. I tried using the search function and wild cards, but I can't seem to find it.

Does anyone have this recipe still?

Thanks!

I found these on line, hope this is what you were looking for.

    1 large head fresh broccoli
    2 tablespoons red onion, minced
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tablespoons lime juice
    1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
    2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
    salt to taste

Boil or steam broccoli until very soft.
In a large bowl, mash broccoli . Mix in onions, garlic, lime juice, hot pepper sauce, and cilantro until mixture resembles the consistency of mashed potatoes. Season to taste with salt.

The whole recipe has about 45 calories!

    Another one,

"A refreshing twist on the avocado staple, this simple puree features the requisite minced onion, lemon juice and chili powder."
    INGREDIENTS:
2 cups chopped fresh broccoli, cooked and chilled
1/4 cup reduced fat sour cream
    3 tablespoons chopped onions
    1 tablespoon mayonnaise
    1 lemon, juiced
    1/4 teaspoon chili powder

    DIRECTIONS:
    1. In a food processor or blender, combine the broccoli, sour cream, onion, mayonnaise, lemon juice and chile powder. Blend until smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl, cover and refrigerate until chilled.

I didn't see any with an avocado!
Glad someone found it for you

You can also use asparagus instead of broccoli and it's delicious as well!
