Can I just say that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE not to go over calorie intake when you eat at that place.
I only ate half my Fried Mac and Cheese balls, half my order of fries, and half my Low Carb Cheesecake. Not to mention I didn't work out much because it was my anniversary and I didn't have much time.
My food alone cost me about 1,350+ cals =(
But it was sooo good.
My question is, does all progress stop if you go over one day? I've been doing so good and I don't want 2 days of bad eating to send me back ya know?

you just made the wrong choices--sorry to be so blunt
The Cheesecake Factory is actually a good place to go because they have such an extensive menu---but you control what you order and how it is presented.
I usually order a grilled chicken dish and I refuse to have fries on my plate--so I tell them to give me lots of steamed veggies. Remember we don't go out to eat to be a pig--we go out to eat to enjoy the company of the people we are with.0 -
I understand over 1/2 of their menu is over 1000 calories. We don't have one in Detroit, but there was one a block and a half from our hotel in Chicago this weekend. I told DH we weren't going to eat a meal there, but we were going to try a piece of cheesecake. We went elsewhere for dinner, walked around, then stopped to get a piece to go and walked back to our hotel. I'm sure the one piece of cheesecake I had wasn't the greatest on numbers, but I more than likely saved a ton of calories by choosing to eat dinner elsewhere.0

No your progress doesnt stop and honestly you can have a cheat meal once in awhile. Just get back on track and keep your head up. We are only human.0

I usually get their seared ahi tuna salad. Decent calories and it is very good. If you have a day where you really went over your calories, don't just feel you have to give up. Start the next day off fresh and perhaps work out an extra 15 minutes per day for the rest of the week, drink a few extra glasses of water, and perhaps reduce your daily calories for the rest of the week by 100 per day. Just modify the rest of your week, don't beat yourself up!0

NO!!! All, your progress does not stop just because of a couple rough days! I allow myself one day a week where I eat whatever I want, and I still consistenly lose 1-2 pounds a week. Don't beat yourself up, just move on!!0

I totally agree with the honest comment about making wrong choices.
If you go out and order fried mac n'cheese with fries you are sabotaging yourself. Don't be surprised when you find out it was over 1000 calories. Might as well have had a regular piece of cheesecake instead of the low carb stuff because ordering a diet coke with your supersized big mac meal doesn't offset it.
If it was your anniversary and you were having a cheat day then that's fine. Just don't be surprised at the numbers.0 -
ITA with all of this......you have to expect anything with the word "fried" and "Mac and Cheese" to be over 1500 calories.....its pretty common sense. And agreed on the cheesecake; there's a 90 calorie difference between the Low Carb and regular cheesecake, and I'm pretty sure more fat.
Low carb does NOT = Healthy.
That being said, one day won't kill you, but know that that you can't do that routinely if you expect results.0 -

Well the last time I ate there was 2 years ago, and I purposely wanted to have that for dinner. I only hate half of everything to keep my intake low. I KNEW it was bad hence why I only ate half. And like others said, its okay to have a cheat day. I was just wondering how bad it derails you.0 -

I went in there KNOWING what the calorie intake was going to be. It wasnt like it was like oh omg fried mac and cheeseballs had a high cal intake.
I'm not regretting what I ate cause I planned it all out. And its not a 90 cal difference, its more like 1,000.0 -
I abhor the Cheesecake Factory...I have been there twice. There are so many choices but so few "healthy" choices. For a menu that big you would think they would have more on their "Weight Management" menu (nice blah name btw) other than a few salads. The thing that gets me the most is the ridiculous portion sizes. Just watching the neighboring patrons recieve their food was eye popping...mountains of food, salads that should be meals but are considered sides. Salads with a heaping mound of fried noodles on them and then the cake slices...you could easily feed 3 people with one slice of cake. I saw one table that got it right. It was 2 girls who split and shared an entree and their dessert. The other couple next to us had an appetizer, seperate entrees of some kind of trough of pasta and then each a slice of cheesecake...and they ate it all...no to go boxes. I can't comprehend how they ate all of it, but they did.
Sorry for the rant...that place just irks me.0 -

Its a great place but yes like you said, the portions are HUGE and the calorie intake is ridiculous. thats why i split my meal,
btw their "weight management" section is horrid its all still over 1,000 cals0 -
I don't recommend eating at that place unless you starve yourself for part of the day and then go eat there. That way you get 1/2 to pretty much all your daily calorie intake for the day. It's awesome food but the proportions are crazy!!. My personal favorite dish is their baked potato soup which they only serve on Wednesdays . I also like their BBQ Chicken Salad....MASSIVE.0

I'm with you. Haven't been to the ones in our area for some time but the food is just not that good and it is beyond loud in there. You can barely carry on a conversation. I like smaller more intimate places with lots of fresh food.0
