I love sandwiches on wheat bread! Today for the 2nd day in a row I'm am having a sandwich on wheat bread for lunch. Is this a bad thing? For some reason I'm feeling really guilty. Maybe I should have soup instead....Bread is not my friend.

Depends on the sandwich that you are eating. For my carbs in my lunch meal i just have 2 slices with nothing on it.0

make sure its WHOLE WHEAT and not just "wheat bread"...many folks do not know to look for the difference...
Walmart brand, for example, sells wheat bread, with orange font on the label and then whole wheat bread with burgundy font on the label...
I grew up eating wheat bread but am now more fond of other whole grain breads ( as well as quinoa bread which I eat a slice or 2 of if I'm under on my calories near bedtime)0 -
2 slices of munster cheese, 2 slices of turkey, lettuces & light mayo.0

Sarah Lee has great bread! They are like 45 cal a slice and it is lower in sodium too! I use the 100% multigrain one.0

I'm pretty sure it's whole wheat. However, I will double check when I get home. Thanks for the info!0

I would drop a slice of cheese i dont think there is a need for 2. The reast looks fine as long as you are staying under your macros with this sandwich.0 -
I have found that BREAD slows me down and shows up in BELLY fat. But a veggie sandwich on whole wheat bread is the best.:happy:0

I use whole grain bread it's much more healthy less calories and still delicious!0

That sounds great, I'll have to try Sara Lee. Thank you!0

I like the sandwich thins, Orowheat and Nature's Own makes them, about 100 cals but roll, Kroger also has one now. Made with whole wheat also.0

Natures Own has a line of breads that look like regular bread not "light" (you know small loaf and thin sliced). They are all whole grain, and you can get double fiber, whole wheat, sugar free whole wheat, honey wheat and I believe a multigrain. They range from 35 to 50 cals a slice. They toast without drying out like the Sara Lee bread. None of them use trans fats or HFCS. They even taste good! Some stores carry more than others, I have only found one store that carries the sugar free, good thing that is the store I shop at most. I usually buy 2 loaves at a time and toss one in the freezer.0

I actually prefer Arnold's sandwhich thins and Flatouts flatbread to bread itself. Have you tried either of those. They are no more than 100 calories each and come in whole wheat.
I would also suggest to cut down to one piece of cheese. Cheese has a lot of calories in it and that would help you feel less guilty. Other than that, if you're not going over your calories and whatever else you're tracking and you're still on track for your goals, then don't feel guilty. I eat sandwhiches at least 3 times a week and sometimes my choices for the filling isn't the best, but I'm usually under my calories and whatnot and still on track.0 -
