Hello Everyone!
I have a question about the Settings feature. It has on there that i am allowed 1300 calories a day, but my doctor has me on a 1000 calories a day. So my question is does anyone know how to change that setting? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Today is the first day to a NEW me!

MFP will not let you set it below 1200 cals a day.0

Click on goals and choose custom instead of guided, lower the calories to 1000 and save, will lower your allowed calories. Hope I helped! I went in and did it on mine just to make sure it would allow it, and it does, when i went back to my home page it had lowered the amount of calories I had left today to accept the 1000 calorie goal.0

It's not healthy to eat below 1200 cals a day. It will send your body into starvation mode and you will plateu at a certain weight and won't be able to lose the rest if you don't eat like you're supposed to. 1200 cals is the minimum for everyone, shape size height, doesn't matter.0

You are in the recommended settings - you need to go in the manual settings and jiggle the amount of weight you are trying to lose - I imagine that you are set at 1lb loss per week. Up it a tadge to see what cals it offers you....
Of course - This does take account that you have said you possibly exercise etc......did you give that info to the doctor?
Clear as mud?

you can always eat 1300 a day, then work off 300..OR, without exercise, just eat the 10000

Strange.......pretty much everything you read about calorie intake will tell you not to go under 1200 ( for a woman)
So, I wonder why your doctor would tell you 1000?
Many doctors don't know much about nutrition....they just know about drugs............
There is much more money to be made selling drugs than telling people to eat healthy and heal themselves that way.
Anyway.......I would eat 1200 calories...make sure they are good quality calories, and move more than usual....0
