Movies to rent....

I will be out of town on a business trip all of next week. I would like to rent some movies to take and watch in my room at night. Any suggestions? There are too many to choose from in the video store, I though I would ask here, perhaps there are a few of you who rent and have seen what is out there, or even an older release. I rarely get to watch tv so chances are I have not see what ever you all come up with. I like comedy, scary, thrillers, action. Not so much into serious drama's (life has enough of that).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. To give you an idea of how far behind on movie watching I am the last comedy I saw was the Hang Over! Yep, it has been that long!

L'Illusioniste - particularly if you like Jacques Tati.
Brought to you by the same folks that did The Triplets of Belleville.

There's this movie called Buried. It's not scary, but it's informative, suspenseful, and really good.
And who doesn't love Bringing Down the House with Queen Latifah.
    Or Shawshank Redemption.
There's a new movie out on dvd with Reese Witherspoon, i forgot what it's called, and Owen Wilson and it's awesome!

AMC played "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane" the other night. Great classic movie if you've never seen it.

For a thriller/action type movie I recommend "Taken" with Liam Neilsen (spelling?). Also, the Ironman movies (part 1 & 2) with Robert Downey Jr. are pretty entertaining. Of course, the original is better than the sequel.

For comedies, I thought "The Ref" was hilarious. Kevin Spacey, Judy Davis and Denis Leary. It's set at Christmas time but still good to watch any time.

I don't know anyone who hasn't already seen it, but "The Usual Suspects" is an awesome thriller/mystery movie.

The Quiet Man with John Wayne is a good one for St Pattys Day.
