Weight loss?

I know it takes time, but I easily get demotivated if I don't see any changes.

I wanted to ask people who started out a similar weight to me (215lbs), how long did it take for you to lose a significant amount of weight? What did you do to lose the weight i.e. workout dvds...? What kinds of food did you eat?
