OK I have some questions.
I am not sure how to log the classes I am taking at my gym.
I took Body Combat( sort of like taebo, high cardio and some muscle toning) and body pump which is a low impact weight lifting class that targets the whole body.
I searched for it and nothing popped up. I don't really want to list every exercise we did so is there any better way to input this in the exercise log?
Thanks

The best way is to get a heart rate monitor and use the calorie number from that. If you are going to be exercising regularly, it will be a good investment.

Maybe under calisthenics? And depending on how hard you personally assess your own efforts, you could log it as vigorous or moderate/light. My rule of thumb is if you kept up with all of the routines, took minimal or no quick breathers during the routines, and pushed yourself to the most you could, then log it as vigorous. Any breaks where you couldn't finish more than one routine completely or had to modify, then I would log it as moderate or light. Though, a HRM would be the most accurate estimation of calories burned during non-database exercises.

  • thanks, i think i will have to invest in one, since the amount of sweat is NOT an accurate sign LOL
