A very, very, very sad NSV...

My dress doesn't fit
I bought this amazing cotton dress in January - it was strapless, a greyish black and covered in little blue and purple flowers. It even had pockets. POCKETS!!!
Back in January, I had troubles zipping it up; it wasn't too tight, in fact the zipper was unaligned so going over some waist details it would always get stuck and the dress was just tight enough that it was impossible to unstick it!
Well, I put the dress on again the other night and:
1) I could twirl it around so the zipper was on the front, zip it up and THEN pull it up over my chest and twist it back around.
2) It fell down. Even with a massive lung full of air, the damn thing fell down.
I am very depressed right now. It was a lovely dress. :grumble:

On another note... I must be losing inches! Hehehe...

Congrats  You could always take it to a tailor and get them to take it in, it doesn't cost as much as a new dress does

If the dress is that great - and it sounds like it is - I agree with others, alterations is the way to go. Your local dry cleaner should be able to do it or give you a recommendation. And WAY TO GO!! :)

I have these pants that I loved so much that I bought 3 different colors, when I wear them now they about fall off at times. I am so sad to lose those pants . . . so I feel your pain. Woo Hoo!
