I just went to my first spin class - trying to figure out what to log it (do not have a HRM)..spinning is showing me at 409 cal for 50 mins......there is no way that is all I burnt...I do the treadmill on 15 incline @ 4.0 for 30 minutes and burn almost 500 calories.....
I checked Stationary Bike - vigorous effort and it shows 613...this seems more accurate as it was an extremly hard workout...what does everyone else log it as?

I think you'd be over-estimating your burn if you put it that high. I weigh 288, have a HRM monitor, and in an hour, I burned 509 calories at spin class. My average HR was 145 with the max being 164.0
