Loosing Inches?

I decided to ditch the scale a couple of months ago and I am just measuring myself. I figured with water retention and muscle gain that the scale would just disappoint me, but my tape measure never does. I was just curious if anyone out there is judging their weight loss by the inches instead of the pounds? Also what are your goal inches and how much have you lost? Here are mine….

Start Current Goal
Stomach 44” 34” 30”
Waist 44” 34” 30”
Hips 46” 39” ?
Neck 16” 13” ?
Arms 16” 12” ?

    I am....... well pounds AND inches. Here's mine:


    start, current, goal
    Bust: 39, 36, 34
    Waist: 36.5, 32.5, 28
    Hips: 44.5, 40, 36
    Arms: 15.5, 14, 10-12
    Thighs: 27.5, 24, 18-20

    I'm new, but I just wanted to agree with you that the scale can be very frustrating! I tend to retain water and hormone changes just throw me for a loop too.

    I also wanted to congratulate you on your inches lost. WAY TO GO! :wink:

    Thanks for the input! I am just interested in how people are doing and what their goals are. Another question, how did you come to your goal numbers? I am trying to figure out what mine should be but I haven’t had any luck. Can anyone help?

    oh I agree...and since my scale is broken and I have not yet purchased another to torture myself w/....I use the good o' tape measure....

    starting, current, goal

    breast 40, 38, 34
    waist 35, 30, 26
    hips 44, 42, 38-36
    arms 14, 12, 10-8
    thighs 28, 25, 22-20

    I got my goals from approximately where I was when I was at a good healthy weight last....130-135, size 4/6 and really fit....that's where I want to be and I still have a ways to go! lol

    so far I've lost 20 inches and I want to lose about 16-20 more...
    so far I've lost 20 lbs and I want to lose 33 more...

    One more thing girls can you tell me what your height is? I want to use your height and goals as measurement to decide what my goals should be based on my height. 5'7"
