Hi I'm Jeannie,

I started my weight loss journey on Monday via the IPAD app and just discovered this site today..It's awesome..and I can't believe how many people seem to be joining every hour. I can tell my husband is going to be aggravated that I will soon be spending way too much time on it !

I am a stay at home mother of 3 girls ages 18, 16 and 12 and live in Massachusetts. I am 48 years young and want to lose and keep off about 20 or even 30 pounds by the time I am 50! But I want to lose the first 15 of it by the summer!

Is it doable?

Looking forward to "meeting" you all...

p/s I will get a picture up soon as I can find one where I can crop my head out ...lol..

Wow that is great..do you work out a lot? I have started the dieting part on Monday but haven't really started excercising yet...its finally a nice day here so I did go for a walk. Where are you from and do you have any helpful hints for me to stay on track?

I've been on here 65 days and have lost 20 pounds and hope to lose 10 more. I am also a mom, but of 4 kiddos, 18b, 15g, 13b, and 5b. I've been married almost 21 years and I am a teacher. So much going on I just kind of lose myself. The trick for me isn't losing it but keeping it off. For me exercise is the crucial component! Send me a friend request and we can support each other on this journey.

Everyone loses weight here. It's simple math. Calorie counting is the only way that's guaranteed to work. And everyone's equal here. Whether you're 400 pounds or 130 trying to be 125. That's what I like about it. We need more guys though.

Hi Everyone! Not sure if this is going to post to the end of this "thread" or to someone directly..so forgive me.

Question: Last night it was around 10:30 right before bed and I have about 250 calories left and feeling a little hungry..should I eat something like a non fat greek yogurt or a cheese stick...or something like pretzels to bring me closer to my daily calorie goal?

What do you guys eat at night..if at all..

Anything. Just make sure you're hungry and not forcing yourself to eat. Peanut butter seems to be the perfect food if you need a couple hundred cals. I use Smart Balance or Adams All Natural.
