I just started this ...I'm excited ....also started boot camp last week ..Hope to share my experiences with someone like me trying to loose a few pounds :)

    Hi! I'm new, too, and MFP has given me new hope in trying to lose these same old 10 pounds. I lost 20 pounds 15 months ago and then gained 10 lbs. back and have been going up and down ever since, so I was interested in trying something new.

    I joined officially about a week and a half ago, but didn't start the program until this past Monday, March 14, 2011. So I've just completed my fourth day on this program and I can't believe I've lost four pounds! Of course, cardio exercise helps and I have my basketball buddy Netti to thank for telling me about this site. It really helps to be accountable for everything I eat and it's almost like a game to see how close I can get to my daily goals. And, yes, it does help to have inherited my dad's fast metabolism even though I'm older now and it's not so fast as it used to be. Or is losing four pounds in four days normal if you truly stick with the program? I know my weight loss will probably slow down, but it sure is encouraging.
