Macronutrients for Weight Loss

So right now, MFP set my macronutrient goals as follows:
Carbs: 193 g (~55% of total calories)
Protein: 53 g (~13% of total calories)
Fat: 47 g (~30% of total calories)
Is this optimum for weight loss? Does anyone customize their macronutrients and get better result?

I noticed i was going over on my protein daily. So i posed something on here and was given this website to calculate how much protein i really need. It was set to like 40-50 and now it's at 100 because that's really how much i need.
It's a good website, just for that really though.0 -
I am doing 40% protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat....that's what my exercise program (Insanity) requires. What you need all depends on the amount and type of exercise you will be doing, if any. If you're building muscle, you need protein....pure cardio, you need carbs....etc.0

Customized for sure. You'll get lots of different opinions about macro percentages but I recommend the following:
Decrease MFP's sodium level. Try to stay below 2,000mg. If you have high blood pressure, 1,500-1,800mg is better.
Increase MFP's fiber level. Aim for 25-35g per day.
If you exercise, increase MFP's protein% and decrease carb%.
Decrease fat to 20-25% and increase protein%.
Right now, my macros are set to 50% carbs, 20% fat, 30% protein. If I'm under on carbs but over on protein I consider that a good thing since I do exercise.
To customize, go to My Home>>Goals>>Change Goals>>Custom. Save your changes.0 -
Thanks, Everyone. Very helpful information0

The protein seems rather low aim for 15% minimum to 30%0
