Raw Food

I'd like to do a raw food diet for one week as a trial. My plan is that eventually I'll have "raw food" days several times a week. I want to make sure I get the right nutrients at the right times of day. Can someone suggest a typical meal plan for a day or even a week? I want to make sure I get enough protein and fiber at the correct times of day.

  • it's going to be a trial and error for you...I've also looked for the perfectly rounded diet for over a year now. I can recommend another free site that will more accurately show your nutritional values as a supplement to this great site. PM me if you'd like the link. What I found is that including a nice big leafy green salad w/1 cup of alfalfa, 1 cup of red bell pepper & 1 small tomato helps tremendously topped w/balsamic vinegar. Add a few blanched almonds. 1 cup of black beans(cooked from dry) I add a large slice of fresh ginger root and a couple of cloves of garlic to the water. Change the water before boiling after soaking over night and change it once our twice while boiling and it'll help kill some of the gas ;o) Add 1 cup of oat groats or steel cut oat porridge. If you can find some fresh goat cheese. .5 ounces on your black beans maybe. 4-8 oz of natural yogurt with your porridge. I didn't punch it in but this may be all you need. Just one day suggestion.
