I know.. I know. Don't get me wrong... I love working out! I'm a workout junkie! I get really cranky if I don't fit in my daily workout!
But, I recently bought a HRM and I'm very dissapointed at how little calories are burned when I workout! The only time I felt good about the calories burned and felt it was accurate was the first time I used the watch for a Combat class (cardio-kickboxing) and I burned 536cals. Ever since, my workouts are between 200 and 250. How dissapointing! I sweat, I burn, I wobble, I'm sore as hell and I burn 200 calories! Do I throw in the towel? (nnnnaaaaahhhh!)
What can I do to burn more calories? Cardio days are mostly running intervals for about 35 min or some cardio class.
Weight training days are the ones I'm more concerned about.. push and sweat like a 'MF!' for 200 cals. I know, I know.. weight lifting burns calories AFTER the workout.. whatevs... I want to see it registered on my HRM!
I actually got P90X today because I've seen so many good results on these forums, people's before & after pictures. I'm willing to give that a try and see how much darn calories I'll burn!
Thanks. I vented. I feel better now.

I am having the exact opposite problem. Started using my heart rate monitor yesterday and the calories I burn are silly amounts, feel like it just can't be true. I burnt 535 today doing 50mins of just dance :S0

Exercise for fitness0 -
The first HRM I bought, I knew was wrong. It said I was burning 150-160 cals after an hour of Zumba. I posted this on MFP and received alot of great advice. I tool that HRM back. I bought one that cost a little more and had a strap. I am now burning between 400 to 600 in a class. Much more accurate. Look the HRM you boughy up online and see what the user reviews are. It may not be you but the HRM.0
