Exercise machine, or torture device

Of all the gym equipment I use daily, the macine I hate the most is the "stair master"!
On any given day, I can attribute close to 40% of my burned calories to this device. In fact, my goal is to burn enough calories using any and every other device at the gym. Only when I see that it is inevitable, and I'm not going to make it passed my 1000 calories in 100 minute daily timetable, do I resort to this self torture.
What fitness equipment do you consciously work at avoiding?

hahaha I remember my first experience with a stair stepper was in high school when we did a "cardio day" for gym class. Basically, you'd get on a machine and stay on it for a half an hour... this was when I first realized that my forearms and calves could sweat lol
  • The stairmaster is a beast but that's why you have to love it!

that would be the pull-up bar. To be specific reverse-grip pull-ups. Regular grip, no problem, I can get between 10 and 14 in each set, reverse grip, shoulders crap out at about 6 and my body screams at me for something like a full minute after. And I completely ignore it and continue working, for which my shoulders inevitably punish me later that night.

Mines the swiss ball. Nothing is more humiliating than trying to perch on top of one of those and then pull a move. Plus, I'm always scared they'll pop under my weight.

I hate and will not do the recumbent (sp?) bike! I can do a spin class, but the sitting down, pushing forward bike makes me CRAZY! Can't do it!
