So i have a treadmill that I use regularly, but i am looking to get a new machine for my house and am debating between a stationary bike or rowing machine. What are your opinions and what brands would you suggest?

Whatever you will realistically use more, is what I'd get. For me, I wouldn't last more than 15 min. on a rowing machine. I get too bored. Also, I find that my cal. burn is higher with a bike, probably b/c I'm using my leg muscles more.

Rowing is much more of a full-body exercise than the bike. I fell in love with the Concept 2 rower at my old gym. So much so that I bought one for myself. They are spendy, but they are probably the best there is or close to it. You can get cheaper rowers but they don't have a smooth fluid motion, or they don't have a full range of motion and in my opinion if it isn't pleasurable to use you won't use it.
They are the same price everywhere including direct from Concept 2, but I bought mine at Mercantila because they had a deal with Bill Me Later which gave me no interest and no payments for 6 months. I use it 3 or 4 days a week for 30 minutes to an hour, and on the other days I run.

I like my exercise bike, as I can plonk it in front of the TV and watch Biggest Loser whilst doing it to keep me occupied!!!

My dream home gym would have a treadmill, stationary bike and a rower...but if I couldonly get one of the lstaer 2 I would get the bike for versaltilty. I use thebike for a running cool down a warm up for strength and for those days I don' "feelit" but want to burn some calories...I can sit and read and slog through a workout. I prefer the rower but never can use that machine whe I need to slog through anything
