I've been around for about two months, but I've never introduced myself. I'm a vegan who works in fast food. I study maths and krav maga. My name is Kali, but Bartelmy/Barelmy works too.
I've never been fat, as such. I've been overweight, at eleven stone, but never severely. I've also never been happy with my body.
My mother has been on various diets since the day I was born (literally; it was baby weight she was trying to lose). She's attended weight watchers and slimming world, and even ran weight watchers meetings. It didn't work. One mother's day, my sister and I made her toast, which she couldn't eat, because she was on Atkins. She has an account on here that she's never actually used.
My sister, on the other hand, is two inches taller than me, and about seven and a half stone. She's quite underweight, although it does seem that she eats okay.
Growing up between those polar opposites does weird things to your self-esteem.
I'm here because, as a relatively new vegan, I want to make sure I get the right nutrients. I also want to lower my body fat percentage, and feel happy about my stomach for once. Despite our mother being on every diet going, my sister and I were raised on chips (fries), and it was a real struggle for me to learn to eat, and, eventually, like vegetables. I still indulge my sweet tooth a little too much, but I'm working on it. Tonight, I'll be changing my evening snack of a PB&J to peanut butter toast.
I like people. I like hearing about people, and listening to what makes them tick. Friend me, if you like, or tell me a bit of your story, if you feel like it.:)

Hello and welcome! I study politics and kickbox!
This sight will help you out a lot.
I've had that whole self-esteem issue as well. I've seemed to just find confidence and beauty within myself.
Good luck on your journey!0
