Knock knees.

Basically, I have knock knees. Not too bad, but bad enough that if I stand with my feet together & try to bend my knees, I can't as they go into each other.. For as long as I can remember, they've given me incredible pain whenever I do anything more than walking, even walking up the stairs hurts so now that I'm trying to properly exercise, get in shape, it's giving me real issues. After 5 minutes, my knees are burning & I feel like I can't go on it hurts so bad.
I've looked it up countless times, the only way to fix the issue [to my knowledge] is to have surgery. That would involve having to learn to walk again. I would go through that, but I can't afford to.
I just want a temporary fix for while I go to the gym.
Does anyone else have this issue? If so, what do you do to help with the pain?
Thanks in advance. :)

I am not a doc-so I cannot diagnose, but from what I have learned in class-your adductor muscles may be too tight and your abductors too lose. You would need to stretch the adductors and do some strengthening to the abductors. Also you can strengthen the muscles that externally rotate your hip. It may be how your pelvis is set and maybe you need to do some core strengthening. I would do some strength training to your lower body. Tighten the muscles that are going to pull those knees back out. Again-I am not a doctor, I would go talk to one, before doing anything that would injure you more.
