My first NSV!!

Today is only day 4 of my weight loss journey, but I am still so excited I had to share. My husband took the day off so we could run a million errands. We were out of the house from 9am to almost 5pm. Normally on a day like this, we could swing by fast food and I'd indulge because it was fast, inexpensive, and let's face it...convenient, especially with two little ones in carseats. But I convinced them all to go to Subway for lunch, where I got a 6" Veggie Delight and bag of apples. Later in the afternoon, we were all starting to get hungry again. My husband wanted to go to Dairy Queen, so he and the girls got some ice cream...and I skipped it altogether. WOOHOO!!

I actually stopped by the grocery store and grabbed a container of nonfat greek yogurt, some fresh fruit and a bottle of water. I am so proud of myself! And amazed at how easy it was to make these choices instead of just going to McDonald's.

    Good for you!!! Success isn't making one right choice it is a process of making multiple choices and learning which ones work.

    That's awesome!!! I find it easier and easier to make healthier choices now. Also I find it easier to save myself some calories and fat by cutting out small things here and there that I don't really miss, like cheese on a turkey sandwich. I know that wouldn't work for everyone but I'm not a cheeseaholic so it works for me. Also I choose lower fat and calorie options for snacks and coffee drinks too. Every little bit helps.

    And this is such great advice. It is easy to forget that small changes really do add up. And I didn't miss the cheese on my sub at all today. But every time I went in before, I would automatically answer Provolone when asked.
