TUMMY TUCK in NY State

So my goal is to lose these last 15lbs or so.
Once I reach my goal I want to get a tummy tuck. I have a consultation tomorrow evening with a plastic surgeon.
I have had 2 kids and my belly needs some help. I have wanted to do this for years now. I am very excited / nervous. If I am going to do it I might as well try to look my best before hand rather than lose the 15lbs after.
Has anyone had one or no someone who did...are you / they happy with there decision?
I live in upstate NY...any docotor recommendations?

Hi
No rec in NY, but my SIL and her family had lots of work done by a Dr if New Jersey
I went to him for a consult last year for lipo...
DH talked me into trying to do things on my own....working out and eating right...I lost 27 pounds
BUTTTT my tummy area also needs some help after 2 kids 18 mnths apart and crunches aren't doing it
So, I may go back in a few months for another consult...
Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Can't help you with the doctors but I can tell you I never regretted my decision to have a tummy tuck. The only thing about it is hiding the crooked scar. Just becareful afterwards. When the doctor tells you not to lay flat for x amount of time, make sure you follow those instructions. I pushed it a little and now I have a few stretch marks that are right above my scar.0

I was thinking about it.. but i am much too scared of the scar... How bad is it? Is it really noticeable?0

I had a circumferential tummy tuck 3 years ago. I had lost over 80 lbs. after having 2 kids, and the extra skin wasn't going to go away. I also had soooo many stretch marks on my belly that I looked like a burn victim there. It was gross! Before the surgery, I didn't have a shape in that area except for bulging. Now I can see the shape of my hips and waist. I have a new belly button, too. The scar...yes, you can see it. For mine, I always kid around saying that I was the unlucky lady in the magic show that actually was cut in half:laugh: Sorry for my warped sense of humor:laugh: But I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!! I'd rather live with a scar than bulginess (if that's even a word). I hope this helps!!!:flowerforyou:0
