Ok I am under my calories by about half and am not in the least hungry. What do i do with what is left over? Do I need to eat something to try to eat most of my calories or just finish the out the best I can? Any input would be great.

I love my sugar free pops, 15 calories!0

I am thinking the same thing. I am not really hungry and do want to force myself to eat0

one day of being under is not going to hurt anyone0

Im under everyday, I eat 3 meals and 1-2 snacks a day. I get more calories from exercise. I dont know what to do with left overs either....0

Some healthy, hi-cal snack options:
-almonds
-guacamole
- banana
-beans
- chocolate milk with whey protein (great post-workout snack)
- fruit smoothie with whey protein and greek yogurt
Hope that helps!Eating enough calories is as important as not eating too many.

don't eat if you're not hungry. You'll have other members tell you about "starvation mode"....Don't eat if you're not hungry. Makes no sense to me, it's counter productive.

maybe try eating foods that have a few more calories when you do eat so you don't have so many left over. Being under for a day isn't bad, but you do need to eat to lose weight.0

it double posted and won't let me delete....:ohwell:0

add an evening snack. If I have leftover calories, I just add a snack before bed.0

It depends on lots of things what is your calorie target?
(I try to make my 1200 as long as I'm over that I don't stress about getting in the additional calories)
Also I check a couple of days before and see what they've been like. If I had a high calorie day or two, before I won't even stress about making the 1200.
(I tend to have a couple hi-cal days followed by a quite a lo-cal day or two. I've heard people talk about zig-zagging your calories seems I do this naturally)
If I've had a couple of lo-days before I try to make it somewhere near my goal or my loss stalls.
(I'm on maintain now and can't believe I'm finding it harder than losing)0 -
My trainer says you need to try and eat close to your calories because your body will start slowing its meatabolism down to compensate for the lower calories that is why I eat 6 to 7 small meals a day. I know how you feel I have the same problem0

Thanks for all your input. It really gives me something to look at and work for. All the suggestions were very helpful and thanks also for the hi-cal snack ideas. maybe I can get it to work out. i sure don't want my metabolism slowing down.0
