Are you actually hungry? I don't have such huge calorie burns when I work out, but I usually only eat a few hundred "exercise calories" back if I'm not at least a little bit hungry...

late night snacks that fill me up are things like cereal and milk...a spoonful of peanut butter...etc...

Wow, that is a lot of extra calories! I guess what you do now depends on if you are hungry like Photogrrl said. I tend to have a several hundred calories left since I earn more with exercise and find I can't use them all. Maybe a late night healthy snack like almonds if you are hungry?

I'm usually never hungry after I work out for some reason.

I brought it down to 400....so I guess that's better now.

Is it possible to exercise too much?

Good question for any trainers or "pro's" out there ;)

I guess it's too much if you injure yourself, or you are not eating enough healthy foods to sustain that level of exercise? Just curious, what kind of exercise are you doing?

i think it is, specially if you are consistantly unable to eat back your cals. not that i think you need to eat all of them, but when you burned 1000 cals, def need to eat back a chunk of them. my thought, since joining here, is this place helps us to make a lifestyle change, and when it comes to exercise, doing what you know you will be able to continue on with after you reach your goal is better than over doing now to hit that goal sooner, and then be unable to keep that same type of exercise level going. but hey, if you are sure you can keep it up, good on you!! just try and plan for the exercise better maybe? spread the extra cals you know you are going to get throughout the day so you don't have to worry about a huge chunk left over at the end of the day.
