I love the local pizzeria's Greek pizza, but it's expensive, so I made my own.

1 7'' premade pizza crust (you can make your own if you prefer)
1/2 medium tomato
1 oz feta cheese crumbles
Italian seasoning
5 kalamata olives (or type you prefer)

Preheat oven to 450 F. Brush crust with good olive oil. Sprinkle with Italian Seasoning. Sprinkle on crumbles and sliced olives. Lay on tomato slices. Add a little salt and more seasoning.

Lower oven temp to 425 F. Cook for 7-10 minutes. Total Cals - 531.

I found a place a while ago that served it and I loved it, tasted just like a huge gyro. May have to try this.

Bump. How handy - I happen to have everything but the crust and the kalamata olives. Sounds yummy. :)

What are your thoughts on adding spinach? I've never had greek pizza... can't quite conceptualize it, and I always seem to be a "more is more" kind of eater. ;)
  • Hmmmm...this sounds excellent and now my wheels are turning! Like previous poster, I also would consider adding spinach and maybe try making individual pizzas on english muffin halves, perhaps using olive oil cooking spray instead of olive oil to lessen calories even more...?

    Thanks for posting

I bet spinach would be great. I've had other spinach and feta dishes and they were delicious.

    To lower calories:

low fat feta (tastes just fine to me)

No olive oil or use light spray

maybe on low cal pita or english muffins.
