Cant stop eating HELP!

Today I can not stop eating... I have put so much crap in my mouth and now I feel like crap. What a coincodince huh!? I dont' know why I go through these binges like this. I have been doing a nice steady weight loss and today I just shoved everything in. UGH!!! Does anyone else have days like this??

    I DID THIS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!! But i went 1,664 calories over becoz of it! gutted x
  • I know I do. I remind myself that we all have setbacks in life but that controlling the food going into my mouth is one I can control. Get up off the floor and start again. In your case you have a very real medical reason for doing so...use that as the motivation to continue and to see the bing day as just that...one day out of many that are not. Good luck.

    This happens to everyone! You have 2 choices, you can totally give up & go back to your old unhealthy lifestyle, OR you can start tomorrow as a fresh day & try harder then. No point beating youself up over something that youve already done.
  • Yes , i do , i don't feel crap though , i just tell myself it's human nature, and i have to ask myself why i'm doing it , it's usually triggered by something , life can be stressful enough with out worrying about what i put in my mouth every 5 mins , just get back on track , easily done by making a small change , i usually give up bread , pasta or anything with flour in for 5 days and it kicks starts me back on the straight and narrow.......


    Never forget it's not a diet it's a new way of eating, and there will be times when you're body feels like craving something , just don't beat yourself up about it, as we all do it :smile:
  • I usually have a protein shake with a bananna every morning. I mix it in the blender and take to work with me in one of those gnc shake containers with the air tight lid. Then after I have had my morning coffee I have the shake. What happened to me yesterday was that I got o busy and didn't drink the shake. Which seemed to be fine because soon it was lunch time and I ate my pack chicken and green beans for lunch. howeverwhen I arrive home yesterday evening I was starving and was looking for more snacks. Even after I ate dinner I wasstill hungryso that tells me that the protein stays with you all day and makes you not want to eat the wallpaper. Try eating something wtih protein in the mornings, shakes, eggs etc. good luck.

    Ugh, I'm sorry! Is it that you want to binge on certain foods or you just want to eat, period? Sometimes I can trick myself if it's just eating by having a bunch of celery or carrots or a big salad with light dressing. All that chewing helps lol. If it's a snack attack for a certain food that's tougher for me. Get out of the house, away from the food if you can or do something that you can't really eat while doing (I'll crochet, sew, or do needlework, don't want to get food on my project!) or play a video games so your fingers are busy.

    for me it is all about insulin levels. if i stay away from sugar and empty carbs and balance good carbs with protein i'm fine. otherwise a couple of fig newmans turns into a whole package. a sundae makes me chompy all day.
