Multi-stage fitness test (bleep/beep test)

Is anyone else out there using this as a measure of improving fitness? I know a lot of jobs and various sports teams have minimum requirements but what about those of us that are just using it for our own benefit and to track progress.

2 days before I joined myfitnesspal I just scraped into level 4.0, now 3 weeks later after losing some weight (and also 1 week into a c25k program) I reached level 5.2 before losing my footing.

It shows that the good work is paying off!
