Hi there peoples!
I joined this site today, as I'd like to lose another two stone, get buff and be a decent runner. I loved the female athletic look (in particular, female body builders - not the steroid ones) and would like to achieve it meself!
I have so far lost two stone. I used to avoid exercise because I have dyspraxia and had bad memories from school, but I recently discovered running (I can run just over 5K at the mo) and would like to try trail running. I'd like to one day do a marathon!
I'm very busy at the moment, so need to be inventive as to how I balance work, volunteering, socialising and fitness... This has been part of why my weight loss has slowed in the past few months. This will be a challenge, but that is not a bad thing. I like to push myself a lot!
Hi to people! And do any new runners from South London fancy a jog?

Welcome!! Sounds like you've made great progress already! And way to go on the running!! I haven't picked that up yet...although, I'd like to. I know you can do the 2nd 2 stone since you've been successful with the 1st 2!0

Hi PB, welcome! I too like trail-running. I walk a lot also, and after getting fed up with blisters from jogging in hiking boots I just got a pair of INOV8 fell-running boots. Super lightweight waterproof Goretex. They are fantastic for running on trails & hills. I am in Noth Wales so sorry I can't team up for a run! I'd like to work towards the physique of a sprinter in the long term after I hit my target weight...
regards,

Hello, well done on losing 2 stone already!
I have recently started jogging too, although not outside, on the treadmill. It really is a great way to work out. I have tried running outside but just really cant do it, i dont know why, some strange psychological thing! im a weirdo! but i have got down to doing 5 km in 34 minutes on the tm now. it really gets the heartrate going and feels so elating!
South london is too far for me to travel for a job anyway, im up in Scotland!0 -
