I'm doing the Warrior Dash tomorrow & am wondering if anyone has ever worn their Polar FT7 while doing the run? There is waist deep water at times. It appears the watch is waterproof up to 50 meters but it doesn't say anything about the chest strap. Anyone have experience with this?

I use it swimming, so you should be fine if water is your only concern.

It should be fine. I use it for swimming too. Just don't push the watch button while you are under water.

What about mud? I would wonder how well they would hold up to those. And isn't there fire in the warrior dash?

It will be under my shirt and I don't plan on hanging out in the mud except for when we have to crawl under the barbed wire in the mud and, believe me, I'm holding my chest/face up. LOL! The fire doesn't go over your waist so if I'm leaping, I am good.

I've done the warrior dash before. I don't think you need to worry about water or mud. What might be a problem is going over some of the obstacles like the rolling logs or climbing over soothing where you are hugging it to close to your chest. I ended up ripping the numbers that were pinned to my shirt. That being said, I am planning to wear mine at 2 dash events here in July & September.

Thank you for the warrior insight! I'll keep that in mind tomorrow as I'm climbing over the hay stacks. We have a cargo net climb also that has me a little worried but I'm giving it my best shot.
