The fastest and wonderful way to have pasta and not have a ton of calories is cook which ever pasta you like (I like sea shells) and heat up some already diced and seasones can of tomatos. The pasta will be what it is and the stewed or diced tomatos will be anywhere from 25 to 50 calories for half a cup! You could put a bunch on if you need it, but half a cup is a lot already.
So easy a caveman could do it.

It's amazing what you can do with the simplest things in your pantry. I would add a couple sliced mushrooms stir fried in a pan with a spritz of Pam, some pre-fried peppers and onions, and perhaps some additional Italian spices.

    Abondanzza indeed!!

And to add some protein and fiber to that same dish, add a can of rinsed red beans, and let it sit there to absorb the flavors. Yarmy!!
