Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on some easy to pick up healthy low calories snacks. I know that fruits and vegetables are always a hit, but is there some pre-packaged snacks out there that are really low in calories and are healthy?
I appreciate any suggestions you can give.
:-)

I usually get the 100 calorie packs by nabisco. Plus pre packed carrotts and fruit cups.0

Hi,
I like Power Crunch protein bars. They are low in sugar and taste really good.0 -
Here are some things I do:
String Cheese
Peanuts
Chobani Yogurt
Apple w/ PB
Strawberries
South Beach DIet Protein fit PB bars
Kashi Go lean cereal bars
Just a few ideas. Hope this helps. Feel free to check out my diary (sorry kind of out of it for 2 weeks on vacation)0 -
60 cal lit and fit yogurts
cheese sticks 50 - 60 cals each
ka me rice crackers - 90 cal packs
100 calorie goldfish crackers0 -
Non fat or low fat yogurt is my go-to snack. The 100 calorie popcorn is good too.0

I package my own snack in those tiny zip lock bags. Pretzels are my favorite with mustard cuz its 0 calories and i take the packages from fast food places. and i make my own trail mix with dried fruit and granola.0

If you like nuts, there is a brand that I found at Walmart called World Table that has some delicious glazed almonds and cashews. My favorite is the sweet onion cashews. They are 130 cals per 1/4 cup, and give me a nice boost before a workout, or to tide me over when my tummy is growling in between meals.0

vitatops are good. they are muffins and brownies for 100 calories and packed with fiber. good in toaster or microwave. I find them at target.0

I get mott's unsweetened applesauce 50 cals or sweetened for 90 cals, quaker granola 100 calorie bars, pre packed 130 cal rice puddings from Kozy Shack, laughing cow cheese lite with a baggie of crackers or cottage cheese0

Ive found any of the 100 cal packs are nice but not very satisfying unless im eating them with a meal or something usually. Only exception ive had to that is the emeral dry roast almond 100 cal packs they will usually put a dent into my hunger for a bit.
other snacks that ive been using are of course fruits and veggies (grapes and baby carrots have become an addiction for me)
string cheese from crystal farms because its only 70 compared to 80 from everyone else (every calorie counts right?)
Ritz Crackerfuls, im not sure if all are but the classic cheddar one is only 120 calories per pack and they are pretty substantal.
Danon Light and Fit yogurts only 80 calories
Hard Boiled Eggs - one is usally enough to hold me over in the morning or if im putting in a long day at work between meals
Fiber One Bars ive been getting the 90 calorie ones lately but im gonna go back to the 130 regular size ones they just seem to hold me alot better than the smaller ones
If anyone has any others to add id love to hear some im always looking for good snacks to keep from getting in a rut0 -
Everybody had really good suggestions. Here are a few of my own.
For on the go....
Sugar Free Jello - 10 cals
Sugar Free Pudding - 60 cals
Special K crackers - 17 = 90cals
Hormel Turkey Peperoni - 17 slices = 70 cals
At home or the office when you have more time....
Cambpell Select Italian Style vegetable Soup - 50 cals per serving (2 servings per can)
Chicken and Vegetable Lean Cusine - 150 cals
Beef tip Portebello Lean Cusine - 150 cals
94% fat free Canadian Bacon - 3 slices 60 cals (sandwich that btwn a slice of low cal bread)0 -
im gonna have to check out that turkey pepporni 17 slices and only 70 cals sounds like a win win to me0

I got these from a Women's Health article. You want to try and make your snacks a mix of carbs and protein.
Sliced apple (celery) with peanut butter (1 tablespoon)
Turkey (watch sodium content) and tomato on whole-wheat bread (1 slice)
Low-fat cottage cheese and a peach or pear
A hard-boiled egg and a piece of fruit
Almonds (1/3 cup) and dried apricots (1/4 cup)
A yogurt-and-fruit smoothie
Hummus (1/4 cup) and baby carrots
Low-fat yogurt and fresh strawberries
Baked sweet potato with low-fat cottage cheese
Baked tortilla chips (10) and low-fat bean dip (1/2 cup)
Reduced-fat cheese (1 1/2 ounces) and whole-grain crackers (5)
Half a peanut butter and banana sandwich (1 tablespoon peanut butter & whole wheat/grain bread)
Some I also do are string cheese and an apple or grapes, yogurt with chopped walnuts, fiber one bar (Most places have a generic brand) and a piece of fruit0
