I am having issues how foods are affecting my intestinal tract. Things that I used to eat before are now making me gassy and have spells of non fun bathroom moments, if I eat healthy then I am not in the bathroom enough if ya know what I mean! SO can anyone give me some advice??

Fresh fruits, vegetables & 1 cup of water for every 25 lbs of body weight.

Cut back a bit on rice and cheese.

I think most if not all of us here experience that. Once we start eating healthier and a good amount of calories, our digestive system just can't tolerate the crap, and grease and fat anymore. I don't know what to tell you though, I still eat foods that I like when I can afford it, and I just suffer through the unpleasant stuff. Though it does make me want to eat healthier again after feeling like crap.

I can honestly tell you I have the same problem sometimes. I take Colace 100mg 1or 2. The generic name is Docusate Sodium it's a softner.
  • You need to make sure you are getting enough fiber and water. I had the same issue when I changed my eating habits until I realized that I was not eating enough fiber or drinking enough water. Now things are back to normal without all the fatty foods that used to make me "regular".

    I do sort of! :embarassed:

I'd like to introduce you to my best friend - psyllium fiber! Found in Metamucil, Konsyl and a bunch of other products. Natural fiber - not a laxative. LOTS of water and every time it helps things along.

I don't have luck with the Benefiber or Citracil products, they use a different fiber my gut just doesn't like but may for you.

Other than that I'd suggest way more veggies, fruits and the llike (if you can handle them). Look for more soluble fiber food choices, like beans, peas, rice, apples. Internet can be your friend in the research - I learned so much.

It also helped me to really cook well things like broccoli - seemed to make me less gassy :grumble:

It sounds like your body is adjusting, mine did too when I started putting more effort into eating correctly!

    Hope this can help~~

    Be Well!!
