Do you look at your daily or weekly totals?

I am new to NET calories. Before i was always under and recently I have changed my habits so that I can always be at over a bit over. However today I made a huge mistake and indulged a wee bit too much. I just don't have the motivation, time or energy to burn it off. When I look at my weekly stats though I am only 63 calories over my weekly goal which I can easily make up tomorrow.
When you look at your food/exercise do you look at your daily totals or weekly totals? I love my iphone app and how my weekly summary of net calories looks. I was always 200-300 under but rarely over. I hate seeing red. I know 1 day is no biggie but if I can make it up tomorrow it should even out right?

I just go one day at a time. Trying to keep tracking of everything weekly would drive me nuts. If I have a day way under or way over, I turn the page and make sure to better the next day.0

I have heard some here say they have one cheat day. I know it's hard to be exact so some days I may be over and some days I may be under.
For me this is a learning process. I never counted calories before0 -
If I'm hearing you right, you're 63 over for the whole week? Goodness, I think you're being overly strict. Just to put it in perspective 63 calories is equivalent to 0.018lbs or 8g (like half a scoop of coffee)
These tiny numbers easily average out.0 -

lmao...well it sounds silly when you say it like that!!
I am allowed 1310 calories a day, I wasn't motivated much to workout so only burned a measly 101 calories. I ate 2007 calories so I am acutally in the red about 600 for the day but putting it into a weekly perspective I am only really down 63 since I have been spot on all week.
It is hard to go over by so much (looking at 1 day) but looking at the whole week doesn't make it seem as bad...if that makes sense...lol0 -

I only do one day at a time. Keeps it doable. Don't want to have a goal so far out. Just 1 day!0

I normally do 2 day at a time but with yesterdays blunder I am hoping looking back at how well I did this week allows to to "make it up" today. I am not a meal planner and prefer to do the one day at a time approach but at the end of the week I love looking back at how I did.
my iphone because it shows my weekly so much nicer then the website.
