I have been a member of MFP since March 2010. Since I joined, I have done a fitness 180 and am a healthy and active person now. Before MPF, I thought I was burning TONS of calories by marathon training and also that I was eating WAY less than I was. WRONG! At nearly 200 lbs, I was eating nearly DOUBLE what I needed to and wasn't burning near as many calories. While this took me a while to grasp, I fell into a comfortable routine of eating well and exercising (running, P90X, yoga). In addition to losing 30 lbs so far, I also have became a full vegetarian and have decreased my half marathon PR times by more than 15 minutes. I owe this all to MFP. I love running, and since the friend limit of 250 has been lifted, I'd love new friends (aggies, engineers, Texans, Runners, or any other healthy and positive people) who don't believe in excuses and only want the best for themselves! There are no magic pills or "quick" weight loss tricks, it takes hard work and focused efforts. I stlll have 15 to 20 more pounds I'd like to lose, but I'll let my body do it's thing and I'll get there eventually.
