Hello MFP

Hello MFP -- I joined recently as I was just looking for a place to log what I eat as I know thats my main problem.. not the amount but what I'm actually eating.. and I'm sooooo happy to find MFP.. its perfect.. a little about me.. I've been overweight and "husky" my entire life, but I've now got 2 kids and I'm tired of being "the fat guy" in all the pictures... I'm very hopeful that MFP will help me achieve my goals this time.... I decided I had enough when I went to the doc and I stepped on the scale which I don't do often and I was approaching 250...so that freaked me out a little and here I am.... week 1 done and lost 4lbs I'm so excited.. while I don't expect that amount each week to keep up.. its a nice little boost to start out with.. my first big goal is to get down to 200 which I haven't seen since before HS.. anyway I love everyones posts here..

    Hello ramius,
    For me it has been a gradual weight increase and over the years my motivation has gone down but recently been going through some major life changes and through prayer and support of friends and family I am finally the most motivated I have ever been and I have lost 5 1/2 pounds so far. It definitely was not in one week but I am learning to be patient and making this lifestyle change with my diet has been hard. Keep up the awesome work and just know it is ok when you have a bad day because to me the good always outweighs the bad :-)
