A Paper on Weight Loss Ads

Hello everyone!

I'm doing a paper on language use in weight loss advertisements; specifically, comparing ads from China and the United States. I'm having no problems finding advertisements in the US, but I'm having some difficulty finding things from China for Chinese people. Anyone out there have any leads for me to go on?

    If it were me, I would head to LA (I'm in CA) Chinatown and pick up some magazines there. You could also walk that area, a lot of the health shops around there have flyers for those types of things, and they might be willing to give you a few. That really assumes you speak Chinese. You could also try looking in your town for Acupuncturists who practice Chinese medicine for the same types of things. If you want Chinese ads in English though.... I have no idea where to get them. :) Good Luck!

    I'm at an intermediate level of Chinese (and reading is my strongest skill).

    Your suggestion would be great...if there were a Chinatown. I'm in the middle of a cornfield in Indiana, unfortunately. I might have to make a trip to Indianapolis to some Asian grocery marts.
