Slow and Steady?

I just looked at my total weightloss since Christmas when I first actively started trying to lose weight again. I've gone from ~143.5kgs to 135.8kgs, so 7.5lbs. It's been 12 weeks since then, so I've lost around 0.6lbs every week. Is that an okay rate? Weight doesn't really stay off me very easily (not to mention my disorder), so it's been a struggle. Just looking for some hope that it's normal to lose this slowly.

You are doing wonderfully! You are doing better than most...you are losing steadily and keeping it off, that is the KEY! Keep following your Plan and let you body do what it is going to do. Keep it up>>>>Steady as She Goes and You WILL get there.0

It is an excellent rate. I went off the program for a couple of months so my statistics are skewed but when I regularly keep to my allowed calories I lose around 1 pound every 10 days. If you try to lose faster you might feel deprived and wind up going off the program for good.0

Yep I agree with the above posts - slow and steady wins the race! This way, your body will have a chance to get used to what you're doing and you are more likely to stick with it - its not a diet its a lifestyle change. Well done on the weight loss and keep doing what you're doing!0

I'm confused. Are you using Kgs or lbs to measure? 7.5kgs = 16.5lbs. 0.6lbs= 1.3 Kgs.0

Oops - all those measurements are supposed to be in lbs :P Using the american system confuses me!0

Well that makes more sense now . I'm from Australia where metric is used. I find it more motivating to look at it through pounds though!
Remember the less you have to lose the slower it gets. Eg if you're a biggest loser contestant it's not uncommon to see a huge loss. But if you're of a healthy bmi already, you will find it slower going.0
