Lessons being learned in Mumbai

Having had a week in Mumbai, and learning one or two things more about life, it occurs to me that it hardly surprising that some get overweight.

It seems that we forget what food is about. It is about having just enough to keep us alive. No more, and hopefully no less. Our cultural obsessions with quantity over quality, of convenience over necessity, of fancy recipes and preparation just to pander to the senses.....all these may lead us to over indulgence.

All I can say to those who bleat that they just can't lose weight, I suggest they grab a flight to India, give away their possesions at the airport door, and then live on the streets for a few weeks. Weight loss? No problem.

Yes we all could remember a be grateful for what we have instead of whining about what we don't have. I take inventory at this sometimes morning thought "I do want to get out of bed". Stop right there I am grateful I can get out of bed , for the covers, for the bed, for the husband, for the house and it goes on from there such a better way of life. GRATEFUL FOR!!!!!!!!!!
Look around listen to your self talk change it and have a gratefully abundant day!

I've been to India 5 times (Bangalore) - lost weight each visit because I don't care for Indian food. I ate the Peanut Butter/Jelly/Tortillas and Tuna that I brought from the US!!!
