Hello,

I'm new to myfitnesspal and am looking to lose 12 lbs by this summer. I always put on a few pounds over the winter and with today being the first day of Spring, I know I have to get back to counting my calories and getting back on a fitness routine. However, I'm 40 and am finding I have less energy than previous years. Hoping I can keep myself motivated too. Looking forward to seeing how others on this site stay motivated and maintain energy levels to keep up a good fitness routine.

MFP is a great place to keep track of what your eating and your exercises. And with all the great support on here it can really keep a person motivated. Well good luck. Add me as a friend if you want.

I also just joined, and so far having this on my phone has been the greatest support to keep me accountable for what and when I eat. I am in a local TOPS chapter and we officially weigh in every Thursday, but the extra support always helps. Good luck and take care,

  • Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I think tracking what I eat and my exercise is going to really help me stay accountable. It's great to know there are a lot of others out there doing the same thing. I'm already feeling motivated!
