I really want to buy a HRM but have no idea whats good, I got one that is also a watch for xmas and it sucks!!! Can't even get it to work. I need something inexpensive and really simple to you.....all I need it for is to figure out how many calories I am burning!!!

i also heard that the POLAR ones are good, but I got a different one.
i didnt want one with a chest strap though. i was afraid that it wouldnt fit right or lay right on my chest, being large chesetd. so i got a watch one, but it's great.
it is a New Balance and it was $59.99 from Target. It doesnt take a constant heart rate like the ones with the chest strap though. I did program in my target high and target low and when i am on the treadmill for my 30 mins i take a reading every 3mins. it will show a L if you are too low or a H if you are too high with your heartrate. you can see that calories burn faster the harder you work out in the counter on the screen. i think that it's great. i love it actually and want to wear it every where, haha!
so i guess it is a matter of preference. but i would def get on. MFP was about 100 too high for when i was on the treadmill. so it is nice to be accurate now.
I hope you find one you like, it makes a big difference. :bigsmile:0
