I am a former Weight Watchers member. I like this so much better though. Not only is it Free, Its so much easier to do my shopping with out trying to figure out the points value on everything. Plus I do not like the Points Plus at all! In fact, I joined this site cause a friend of mine I had met from WW meetings told me about MFP, LOL! Hope you have great sucess on your journey :happy:0

I re-upped in Jan to get the new points plus plan. I got life time prior to points and never did really well with points. I'm doing better with the plus plan, and am using the focus on fruits/veggies/lean proteins/limiting carbs when choosing what to eat.
I was on the verge of signing up with the online program so i could use it with my phone, but a friend/co-worker found MFP. I started using it a week ago while on vacation (odd time to start:-) ), and I'm finding the MFP food logging to be much easier. So far I've not eaten anything that hasn't been in the database including the Ruby Tuesday's Tuscan Crab Tilapia yesterday.
I seem to be responding more positive to the nutrition breakdowns in making choices - for example if my fats are leaning toward high part of my calories, then I try to make other choices that are low in fat - sugar is another item. I like being able to put the food in that I'm thinking about eating - see how it looks and then either eat or make a different choice.
Such a simple thing, but I LOVE the button at the end of the log that says what I will weigh in 5 weeks if I keep it up. I realize there will be plateaus along the way, but I still like seeing that number:-)
I've lost more weight in 1 week with MFP than I have in 8 weeks of WW.
I think it's finding where your motivation is - I don't do as well with group settings. I've also been to so many WW meetings that I don't hear much "new" anymore.0 -
Initially I was doing both MFP and WW but it got too frustrating to figure out points when I could just enter the foods in here and voila it was done. I still find myself keeping a running tally of points in my head though.0
