Post-Easter sales

If you're someone with a sweet tooth, those 'day/week after Easter' sales on candy can be awfully tempting. So come up with a strategy now to avoid 'accidentally' buying half price candy a few days after Easter!

-Try to plan your shopping trips so that you can pretty much avoid stores that will have these enormous candy sales the week after Easter. Hit those stores the week before and then hit up the Farmer's Market for your produce the week after Easter. Refill your prescriptions (if you can) the week before Easter, or call them in and pick them up at the drive-thri window of your pharmacy so you don't have to stand around looking at almost free candy for 20 minutes while your script is being filled.

-If you are a pet owner or even just a pet lover, PetCo and some other petstores put all those holiday themed pet toys on massive clearance the week after every single holiday. So take a trip to the pet store and stock up on some cheap toys for your pet, or toys that you can donate to the local animal shelter--the dogs and cats don't care that they are playing with 'Easter' toys in July!

-If you are a homeowner, the week after Easter is a great time to do some yard work, touch up painting, etc. There's no candy at Home Depot! YAY! And you'll get in a little exercise, too.

If you've got some other strategies, share them!
