Well I finished my first half marathon yesterday in Cincinnati. Although it was cold and rainy, I had a damn good time! Never expected to finish something like that and never understood how anyone could or would want to run/walk in such inclimate weather. However, I understand now. It just adds to the confidence you get knowing you pulled through something you never would have imagined yourself participating in or finishing. My timing was horrible but I wasn't worried about that. Finishing....that was my goal. And I conquered it!

To anyone that thinks a goal is out of reach, no matter what that goal is, if you want it bad enough, you will make it happen. Congratulations to all the finishers out there! Never give up!

Flying Pig Marathon....I will see you in May!

Awesome!! I'm doing my first half in October, in San Antonio! I'm so excited! And I don't care about my time either; just looking to cross that finish line. Way to go!

I did my second half marathon yesterday! I didn't train as well as I should have and I've been sick for 3 week so my timed totally sucked. But I agree... the feeling that I ran the whole time and finished it was awesome. I was on such a high the rest of the day, I felt that I could have done anything : )

My next goal is to do a full marathon! Just don't know how soon I can accomplish it. I assume the training would be even more intense!

Thanks everyone! The best thing about this website is all the SUPPORT! My time was 3 hours and 12 minutes. Not the quickest thing in the world but oh well. And yes, very addictive. Already looking at other marathons and half marathons throughout the year...Would love to do the 3 day for the cure, but that may be a little too out of my league (at least for this year).
