12lbs to GO!

i had a goal to lose 20lbs by end of april for my vaca i started 3 weeks ago and lost 9lbs. i just got the SHRED-IT weights by jillian i plan on doing my usual cardio 5x per week wich is at least 50 min on tredmil mostly jogging i want to add the dvd should i do the dvd everyday??? i have 12lbs to loose in 5 weeks.

Hi! Great job on your weight loss! I've lost 15lbs in 2.5 months and I would say for me it was 70% what I ate and 30% exercise. At most I think I did 4 times a week, and it was mostly JUST a Jillian Michaels DVD. I don't always have more time to do something else. I have 5lbs to go to my original goal, but recently I added another 5lbs to that goal. I'll probably try to up the exercising though because it's going to be tougher losing those 10.
I stalled after my first 11lbs, and didn't lose any for 4 weeks, I changed some of my eating, and drank more water and lost 4 lbs! Just stay consistent, and try to mix up your work outs as much as possible!0 -

well 9lbs in 3 weeks is rapid weight loss.
12lbs in 5 weeks is more resonable but also rapid, especially if you are not a obese person.
You objectives are a little ambitious, I would reccomend less expectations in that time frame, or the same objective but in more time.The problem with rapid weight loss is that you will ose muscle mass along with fat. That is very undesirable.
As for doing the dvd or not, I say go for it, but if you are doing cardio 5x a week, only do muscle training 4 days, rest days are very important.0 -

Kevanos i was pretty surprised every weigh in was a 3lb loss but i will take iti changed the way i eat drastically i eat high protine low carbs lots of fruit and veggies i cut back my intake of WINE and i started doing cardio mixed with strength and the 9lbs came off. i have the goal of 12lbs in 5 weeks because i go on vaca the end of april but i know once i come back thngs will have to change a bit to have a long term goal

Muscle burns calories The 30 Day Shred slowed my weightloss down just a tad but I still lost 1lb last week I'm just now on Level 2 and haven't weighed this week yet to see I think you look great! and 12lbs may be the hardest to take off I don't see how The Shred could hurt
and Maybe if like the other guy above said give yourself a little more time you'll get thee I'm sure! Hang in there!
