I go over my fiber allotment almost everyday. Is that a bad thing?

No, lots of people have trouble getting enough fiber, but going over isn't usually a problem... just make sure you drink lots of water to keep it moving.

silly question :o) of course it is NOT a bad thing! MFP doesn't even set your fiber goals where the suggested daily amount should be. i changed the settings so i am aiming for more fiber daily :o) besides increasing regularity & reducing tummy bloat, most high fiber foods are high in nutrients too.

I did the same, I upped it to 25, I usually get anywhere from 30-sometimes over 40 g's.

It's a great thing! MFP has RIDICULOUSLY LOW fiber goals. You should be aiming for at least 25-30g per day (somewhat dependent on your weight).

I too aim for a minimum of 25 grams per day.

Confession: I never pay attention to how much fiber I'm getting. :embarassed: Looking back, I see that I've only been around 20 g most days. I just increased my goal to 25 g/day and I'll try to remember to keep an eye on it from now on.
