Hi i'm looking for some new ideas for low impact sxercises for me to do. This is basically exercise that doesnt put to much stress onto your joints. Things like aerobics are pretty much out of the window for me as i suffer from a severe joint infection. It would be preferable that these be free and be able to be done at home or without eqiupment. I'm an exercise novice and a skint one at that. Thanks in advance!

  • Swimming or a recumbent stationary bicycle would be good options. Also yoga and pilates.

Good luck and hang in there! You will find something!

Swimming and cycling are the two I have been recommended while I am recovering. Also strength stuff like planks, press ups, sit ups, squats and lunges.

I have a list of walking workouts that are online and free to use. I can send them to you, if you'd like.

Also, try doing a search for low impact exercises. There's lots of free videos online.

Good luck and i hope you get to feeling better!
