I am wondering if I can count sparkling water towards my water intake? I am trying to wean myself away from my diet pepsi addiction and I don't even know if this this is better but I like it a lot. I got the clear american flavored ones sold by walmart
Thanks

Don't those have sugar or some kind of sweetener? I would say probably not.

    Try to drink plain water

    Good luck!

I drink flavored water sometimes. I always log it. Just because it has flavor does not stop me from doing it. It is mostly water just has flavor added. It is nothing like Gatorade or other sports drink and juices.

Wel it is better than soda because it doesn't have coloring or anything like that I like those kind too but I believe it does have artificial sweetner. If you don't like water and are trying to get yourself off soda (my hardest weakness as well) I suggest buying something that has some sort of nutritional value to it like electrolytes which if you are working out a lot are good to drink. You should try powerade ZERO or G2 gatorade they are no and low calories versions of those sports drinks. Hope this was helpful. :)

A lot of flavored water has sodium, so it's good to log it for accurate measuring.
  • Yes, sparkling waters count for water intake--though I highly recommend you find one that has no calories, no sugar, etc... and since it's somewhat related to this topic--Vitamin Waters a croc of SH**! don't waste your calories on them! your body doesn't absorb a tenth of the vitamins they claim to have and the calorie and sugar content makes them a super bad choice for H2O intake... happy drinking! :)
