Can anyone tell me how many calories you burn on these routines - both 1 and 2? Thanks.

you would have to get a HRM to figure that out. It's different for everyone.

Agreed, you need a HRM. I do these routines and burn different amounts wach time. Usually close in amounts, but still different.

I don't know what style this program is, but a typical power yoga session burns around 300 to 440 cals in an hour depending on your weight and level of intensity.

thanks for your answers - just a ballpark figure would help. When i entered in 20 minutes (didn't have time to finish it) it said 44 calories - i was hoping it was more than that.

I just got this DVD to take on business trips when I don't have time to work out. I got it for only $8 and I was surprised how much I like it. Normally, I think Jillian is annoying.

This program is very similar to a class I take at my gym called Centergy.

To calculate how much you burn as part of myfitnesspal I would count it as Power Yoga. To figure out how much fat you actually burn I would wear a chest strap HRM, (Polar) found on Amazon for the cheapest one. The chest strap ones are the only accurate ones.

When I do Jillian's DVD I log it on here as Power Yoga.

I put in power yoga and there were no results - hatha yoga?

I don't generally like her either but i think i will like ths dvd. It's something i can do in the morning at home before i go to work.

    Hello,
I agree with the group. HRM is the best b/c each person is going to be a little different. But, I typically burn about 230 cals in 30 minutes with Yoga Meldown per my HRM.
